October 2016 Update
We are designing the Program Managers/Volunteer Coordinator Academy as a foundational learning experience. It will provide new program managers and staff who supervise CASA volunteers with a solid skills and core competencies to yield quality and consistent support to volunteers and aid in establishing a community of practice for CASA staff statewide.

Participants will examine core values essential to achieving our common goal that every abused or neglected child should live in a safe, loving, permanent home where they have the opportunity to thrive. Academy participants will leave with a firm understanding and framework for each participant to build upon in his/her role as a CASA volunteer supporter and mentor.

Our current structure for the academy is looking at a two-day training for new volunteer coordinators with an added day for program managers to cover additional program management duties and responsibilities.
